Uptrends error codes

When Uptrends detects an error during the test of your probes, you can see different kinds of error codes, depending on the type of the problem. This page explains the most common error types.

Error code 1000: DNS Lookup Error

The checkpoint server was not able to resolve your domain name to an ip-address by using the configured DNS (Domain Name System) servers. This can indicate a problem in the DNS records of your domain and/or a problem at the hosting provider or domain name provider that handles the DNS for your domain.

Error code 2000: Tcp Connection Failed

This indicates that the checkpoint server was not able to make any connection to your website. This is a test on the lowest level, trying to make a connection to the TCP port. It usually indicates some kind of infrastructure problem between the test server and your website. If this error is occurring simultanously on different checkpoints, it usually indicates a problem at your hosting provider.

Error code 3002: Http Connect Failure

The browser simulator on the checkpoint server was not able to connect to your website. This usually indicates some kind of infrastructure problem between the test server and your website.

Error code 3006: Http Name Resolution Failure

The browser on the checkpoint was not able to resolve the domain name to an ip-address. This indicates an error in the DNS server of your domain or your domain or the ip-number of your website does not respond.

Error code 3009: Http protocol error

This indicates a communication error on the HTTP level, between the checkpoint testserver and the website. This usually indicates a problem with the website on the website server. Additional info about the error is displayed in the 'Http error' section of the error. This contains the actual error response from the webserver I.e. "500 Internal Server Error" indicates an error in the webserver.

Error code 3011: Http Receive Failure

This indicates an error during the download of the http response from your website. This usually indicates a problem with the website on the website server.

Error code 3016: Http Send Failure

This indicates that the checkpoint server could not deliver a request to your website server. The checkpoint server was unable to communicate with your server. This usually indicates a problem with the website on the website server.

Error code 3031: Http Match Pattern No Match

The match pattern you entered in the advanced settings tab was not found. Your website did return html however the content was not as expected. This usually indicates a website application problem.

Error code 3033: Http Receive timeout

This indicates that the checkpoint server was waiting for the response of your website server and timed out. It usually indicates a problem with the website on the website server.

Error code 5102: FTP No Response

There was no response from the FTP server during the FTP test.
