What’s new in Uptrends 3.0

Using the valuable input of our customers, we have made some important design changes to the application interface. Featuring a better arrangement of the menu and report options, as well as wider charts and tables, the new interface shows your data in a clearer fashion and is prepared for new things we are planning to add in the near future.

Main menu

For a comparison of the old menu and new menu, please refer to the transition guide.

The new Uptrends menu of Uptrends 3.0

The main menu at the top has the following sections:

"My Uptrends" contains the status reports:
Account overview, Probe status, Alert status and Cockpit (when available)

"Analyze" contains all reports regarding individual measurements and alerts:
Probe log, alert history, snapshot history, performance and SLA analysis

"Reports" contains all statistical reports, split into categories:

  • Uptime: reports regarding uptime/downtime
  • Total time: all reports regarding total and average load times
  • Error: all error related reports
  • Transaction: all transaction step time reports

"Manage"
lets you edit your probes, operators, alerts, groups and general account settings.

"Tools" gives you access to a number of check tools you can use ‘on the fly’: Full Page Check, URL check, Trace route and DNS analysis.

"Contact & Help" shows links to the support section, your support tickets, and our contact form.

The new Uptrends date range selector

Date range selection

The statistics reports (for uptime/downtime, load times, errors and transaction steps) are available for any date period you require. To select a date period, click on the date range indicator at the top right side of the screen, and either:

  • select one of the predefined date ranges (yesterday, last 7 days, last month, etc.), or
  • select your own range, using ‘From’ and ‘To’ dates.

Click on ‘Apply’ to start using the desired date range for a statistics report.

Report filters for probes and probe groups

Many reports allow you to view data for your entire account, for just one probe group or even for just one probe. The filters at the top of the report let you set the appropriate filters.

Click on any filter to select the desired probe or probe group from a list, or start typing to narrow your search. To clear the filter, simply select ‘All probes’ from the top of the list.

Action menu and Refresh button

For a statistics report, move your mouse over the action menu button to open the menu. You will find options to save the report to PDF, Excel or XML (when available), to print the report, or to send the report in an e-mail.

A refresh button has been added to the left of the action menu, allowing you to refresh the report at any time.
