Uptrends is a leading provider of global website, transaction, server and SLA monitoring services. With our remote-intelligence technology, we conduct performance monitoring for enterprises and service providers worldwide. We serve our customers across the world from our offices in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, and soon from our new US office. We are currently seeking a financial specialist for our new office, which will be located in Beverly, MA (or surrounding areas).

Job Description

Reporting to the Sales Director for North America, as well as working closely with our team in the Netherlands, the financial specialist is expected to manage billing & administration of our US office independently.

Job Responsibilities
 

General

  • Accurately perform general accounting support functions
  • Independently manage administration tasks
  • Maintaining billing & administration system accurately
  • Ability to work with outside accountants and maintain bank relationships
  • Responsible for appropriate sales & corporate taxes


Accounts receivable

  • Generating invoices and sending them out to clients
  • Responsible for collection of outstanding invoices
  • Assist with completion of W8 & W9 forms


Accounts payable

  • Accurately enter all vendor invoices in accounting program
  • Responsible for the payment and mailing of vendor invoices via checks, electronic media and online banking


Human Resources

  • Responsible for monthly payroll in cooperation with our accountant
  • Calculate the sales commissions
     

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience performing general accounting functions
  • Associate or Bachelor degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of financial processes
  • Outstanding communications skills (both written and oral), ability to interact with employees, customers and suppliers
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize as appropriate
  • Utilizes strong judgment and critical thinking skills to contribute and understand issues at a broader level
  • Strong computer applications skills (Windows, MS Office, accounting software)
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaborating within a team environment
