If that happens, the traffic light starts flashing orange and red so that we know there’s something wrong, and my colleagues can start fixing the problem.”

As much as it’s a team effort to monitor large amounts of applications, using Uptrends is no different. With multiple alert definitions set up, Inforing escalates issues between team members based on the number of errors that occur. If an error keeps coming, alerts get escalated to more people.
“I am responsible for the configuration of Uptrends, and one of my colleagues takes care of first-tier incidents when Uptrends indicates that there is a problem. On a daily basis, there are two colleagues available for fixing the problems. We use the Slack integration to push alerts to dedicated Slack channels, so the right people know about problems immediately. It’s important for us to monitor the uptime of our applications because we have SLAs with our customers, so we are responsible for keeping the application up and running."

Inforing has almost 250 uptime monitors running to watch the different environments for their customers. They have separate monitors to keep an eye on their acceptance, test, and production sites.
