As a System Administrator at Uptrends ...

... you contribute to the further expansion of our web monitoring platform. The platform has been under development since 2007, and customers use Uptrends in 80 countries. We are now approaching a 5th version of the platform, and we are working on the renewal of our monitoring engine based on the Microsoft platform.

You are also involved in ...

... the daily operational management and design of our two central hosting locations and 200 worldwide remote data center locations based on the Microsoft platform. The daily management and maintenance of our Hosted Development Environment. Taking care of and supporting the office automation based on Office 365 at our three worldwide locations. Finally, you participate in the support team as a second-line support engineer.

  • Your team consists of ten developers, four support engineers, and two operations engineers, each with their own specialty.

  • You work with a modern environment consisting of Microsoft Server 2012-2019, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, CloudBerry, Octopus Deploy, Slack, and Trello.

Who is our ideal colleague?

  • A completed IT system management training at MBO (technical school) or HBO (bachelor's degree) level.
  • Broad general knowledge of hosting environments and Internet technology.
  • Demonstrable experience as a system engineer, system administrator, or infrastructure specialist in a Microsoft environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with creating and modifying PowerShell scripts.
  • Someone who likes to achieve the highest possible uptime of the operational platform.
  • A Microsoft MCSE certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with monitoring systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with cloud environments is an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps is an advantage.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language.
  • No 9-to-5 mentality.
