  • Impact of the RUM script on your website
    You may already have a fair number of scripts on your site, and wanting to collect RUM data means adding another script to the pages of your site. However, we’ve put a number of things in place to ensure that the impact of having yet another script on your site is reduced to virtually zero. Most importantly, the tiny script we need you to insert in your web pages will perform its work asynchronously.
  • Median values used in RUM
    Uptrends' RUM gives you a choice between median or average values. Learn how Uptrends calculates the median values for your reports.
  • Real time data
    When someone visits your website, the data collected by the RUM script in your pages will be sent to us as soon as the page is done loading. Your data is then queued for processing, but seeing those pageviews in the RUM reports in your Uptrends account should usually be a matter of minutes. No need to wait until the next day to see any results. That said - while your reports will always show very recent data, our recommendation is to mainly use Real User Monitoring data as a tool for watching trends.
