What are Peak Times?

The peak settings in the mobile apps are used to suppress push notification alerts on the mobile device during specified hours, should those be generated based on regular Uptrends settings.

Note: Settings in the main application are leading; when an operator does not receive alerts based on those settings (based on alert definitions and operator off-duty periods), that won't lead to alerts in the mobile app.

How to use Peak Times

To change the settings for on- and off-peak times, access the Settings menu by selecting the hamburger icon, and select Settings in the menu that appears. You can manipulate these settings:

On-peak

  • Receive error: choose whether you want to receive push notifications for confirmed errors during on-peak hours.
  • Receive recovery: choose whether you want to receive push notifications when a monitor is OK again during on-peak hours.
  • Days: select the days on which the on-peak period should be active.
  • Time start: select the starting time of the on-peak period on the selected days.
  • Time end: select the end time of the on-peak period on the selected days.

Off-peak

  • Receive error: choose whether you want to receive push notifications for confirmed errors during off-peak hours.
  • Receive recovery: choose whether you want to receive push notifications when a monitor is OK again during off-peak hours.
