Note
Support for SCIM is available for Uptrends Enterprise accounts.
Prerequisites
To have operators and operator groups created automatically in Uptrends with SCIM, you need:
Enterprise Uptrends account
SCIM provisioning is an Enterprise-tier capability. If you have an Enterprise account but cannot access the SCIM provisioning settings, contact our Support team for assistance.
To upgrade to Enterprise, contact your account manager.
Uptrends administrator access
You need administrator access to configure SCIM in Uptrends. The SCIM settings page lets you create the SCIM service account and API key, retrieve the SCIM endpoint URL, and monitor sync activity between your IdP and Uptrends.
IdP with SCIM 2.0 outbound provisioning
Uptrends supports any SCIM 2.0-compliant identity provider. We currently test and validate against Microsoft Entra ID.
We also support Okta, Ping Identity, and OneLogin. For any other identity provider, contact our Support team to confirm compatibility.
IdP administrator access
IdP administrator access is required to create or configure an application and turn on automatic provisioning. You can request this access yourself or coordinate with an IdP administrator in your organization.
Single Sign-On (SSO) — recommended
We recommend using SCIM together with SSO for centralized account management. SCIM automates user provisioning, while SSO enables SCIM-provisioned users to sign in through your IdP, without a separate Uptrends username and password. To set up SSO in Uptrends, see the Single Sign-on setup guide.
After you meet these prerequisites, continue with Set up SCIM provisioning in Uptrends.
